ASHANTI REGIONAL STUDENTS’ REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONGRESS

 

Ø  Utmost Discipline shall be observed at Congress/ suppose

 

Ø  Ni delegate shall be absent from meeting without permission/

 

Ø  All delegates shall be seated before time at all meetings

 

Ø  Delegates late for meetings without due permission will be sanctioned accordingly

 

Ø  No delegate shall leave a meeting unceremoniously

 

Ø  Delegates shall respond to all emergency summons without delay

 

Ø  It is an offense to be found in the dormitory/ loitering about during meeting hours

 

Ø  All delegates shall participate in all activities at Congress

 

Ø  All delegates shall subject themselves to the standing orders: Congress rules: Sanhedrin decisions, REC,ZEC, LIGEC Disciplinary Committee and other Officials

 

Ø  Absolute Cleanliness, decency and decorum shall be observed at all times

 

Ø  Disrespect to Congress officials, REC, ZEC, LIGEC, APEC, and Observers shall be deemed as a great offence

 

Ø  No delegate shall leave Congress grounds without due permission from CO=ORDINATORS/DC

 

Ø  All delegates shall be fully residential throughout congress duration

 

Ø  Acts like fighting, quarreling, use of indecent language, or any act of gross insubordination that jeopardizes the image and integrity of the Council shall be deemed as a grievous offence

 

Ø  Congress officials in dealing with delegates must accord them due respect

 

Ø  All acts of indiscipline, insubordination and misconduct on the art of delegates, officials or observers shall be reported to the  DC of Co-ordinator, without delay for appropriate action

Students Voice

Students voice is a means of involving students in the organisational structure of the school and engaging them in the school community. At its best it is an effective way to help transform education from the ‘bottom up’, through the co-construction of learning.           

In schools where student voice is developing successfully, the school’s culture and ethos have been adapted to nurture and support the integration and expansion of student voice activities. Some of these ideas are challenging, and all require careful planning and implementation. The potential, however, is significant; engaging students and involving them at the heart of the learning community that is a personalised school.
